In March 2025, fourteen BUReD members from biotechnology and microbiology backgrounds visited icddr,b in Dhaka. Facilitated by Dr. Muntasir Alam and led by Adviser Dr. Tarnima Warda Andalib and President Meer Zeshanul Wazid, the group toured the Virology Lab's PCR and ELISA setups and the Genome Centre's next-generation sequencing equipment.
